My first blooooogggg

New Years Resolutions!

So I am starting my first NYR by starting my blog. I wanted to document either through journal or blog. So it may be a sporadic blog at times because I am also writing in my journal and I don't want to bore myself, with myself.
So I will get back to the topic of New Years resolutions and I will state my purpose as to why I am " Amber in the Middle" and a little about myself, but mostly about the important people who surround me.
My name is Amber, I moved to California about three days ago from Kansas and part of my writings will be about how I transition. So there you have it "Amber from the Middle"-Genius!
I am first of all a christian, God is the center of my life. Next my amazing hard working husband of four months going on forever-Markus. He is the reason we moved to California because he likes to make money by flying planes. I am so proud of him for pursuing his passion. My parents Dwight and Traci are the most selfless people in the world. My brother- Bryson and I are possibly the most blessed children on the planet to have these two high-quality rents. Bryson is going to KU (my father is a very proud, avid, ravenous, crazy Jay-hawk fan) studying Japanese. He is a self confident, smart, funny, geeky brother who I can't help but love! My Grandparents, Aunt Barb, Aunt Diane, cousins, all of my family including Markus' parents and brothers are all gracious, encouraging loving people! Then there are my faithful friends who are completely worth mentioning but to save time lets just say my bridesmaids and more! Last but not least a piece of my heart is left in KS with my parents, in the shape of a wiener dog. Timothy Longfellow is my almost three year old cowardly, cuddly, dapple dachshund!

So much in my life has changed in such a short period of time, between getting married, getting laid off and moving to the bay area. I find it hard to pin point exactly what to set out to do 2011, but here it goes...

1. Pursue God with my whole heart.
2. Keep in touch with my family and friends.
3. Make new healthy relationships.
4. Find a good church
5. Continue education in many areas.
- including but not limited to the institution of school
- Reading a diversity of books on my own time
- reading of the word of God (everyday)
- cooking a variety of foods including learning how to cook Thai food :)
- music- joining a choir of worship band, and writing
6. Exercise
-running in the bay area parks!
- taking some dance classes!
- possibly trying a class that my cousins do called Cross-fit. I can't commit to this quite yet it's very intense and scary but it works!
7. Putting others needs before my own. (stop saying I so much)
8. One of the most very important resolutions is to continue growing as a supportive, loving, and faithful wife to Markus.
Just to name a few :)

Next time I will probably talk about the move and life in Cali. I just feel like I need another week to grasp everything. I will just say so far it's been interesting.
The end.
