Inspired by Dr. Fuhrman's nutrition message: Food for Life teaches children and families how to enjoy healthy foods

Inspired by Dr. Fuhrman's nutrition message: Food for Life teaches children and families how to enjoy healthy foods

Today I read an interesting article on skin coloration and the foods we eat! It was good news in reguard to my fears of tanning and desire to still have a healthy glow! So in result of this article I am having some organic tomato soup from Trader Joes, a stack of carrots and a spinach salad with a Bolivian type of feta cheese, sliced almonds and apples with Trader Joe Raspberry Vinaigrette. I asked Markus if he wanted the same... he wanted the tomato soup and Kraft Mac and Cheese. Article above.

For Dinner Markus and I were invited over to a guy that works with Markus and his' wife house for dinner. We brought a low fat cobbler Apple and blueberry cobbler. Me and the wife immediately clicked since we had two major things in common. One being she is a pilot's wife and knows even better than I do the life of being alone most of the time, and another reason is her and her husband were born and raised in Kansas! It made me miss all of the things I was talking to her tonight about, my family, my dog timmy, the comfort of true friends that don't care what you look like or what you have your masters in. Hopefully someday I can experience a little of that here in California, but Kansas will always be home. Great conversation great meal, great day!

Bike Ride

Today I wanted to explore a little bit of the city while getting some exercise. So I packed a water, my keys, and a book and went biking. I started off going to what is Fremont's down town area called the Irvington district, which I think has potential but hasn't reached it yet. Then I went up towards the mission area on Washington. I love that part of the city with stretched out palm trees lining the middle of the road heading up to the peak it was picturesque. The best part was up ahead where I stopped at a rustic charming coffee shop right next to a absolutely beautiful old Mission. When Markus comes back I can't wait to show him the area and hopefully go inside the mission. It was a beautiful day around 65 degrees. For about an hour I sat on the porch of the coffee shop I read my little book Treasure Principles and sipped my iced tea latte feeling blessed to be alive.

Being Home

Ok, I got on facebook and spoke with my friend Stephanie and she said she started her blog. It reminded me I need to get on my blog even if it just to insert a few lines here and there. So I dropped my husband Markus off in Livermore CA today. He will be gone till tomorrow and then will leave Saturday and be back Wednesday. It has been really hard not having him here very often. He is gone all the time and I am home all the time so when he comes home I want to go out and he wants to stay around the house. So the good thing is I can do a lot of reading in the meantime.
